The crack is just large enough for a cat to squeeze through. Inside it is cool and dry, with a river-like water source running along the back of the den. The rest of this main den is sandy, with moss and feather nests lining the other walls of the room. On the right is a larger whole leading to a room about the side of the Deputy's den were the herds are stored in neat piles.
